【Abstract】 The synthesis method of a new compound ethyl 3-formylindole-5-carboxylate（1）has been reported.The intermediate ethyl indole-5-carboxylate was obtained from 3-methyl-4-nitrobenzoic acid as raw material by esterification with EtOH,condensation with DMFDEA and piperidine,reduction with Fe/HAc.Then it was reacted with POCl₃/DMF through Vilsmeier-Hacck reaction,the target product 1 was synthesized with a total yield of 63%.The structure of 1 was confirmed by（（）¹HNMR）,IR and MS.更多还原
