【Abstract】 The esterification reaction between glutaric acid and methanol with ptoluene sulphonic acid as catalyst was studied.The optimum reaction conditions in 94.5% yield were as following:the molar ratio of alcohol to acid is 10:1,amount of catalyst used 20% by weight of the glutaric acid,the reaction time is 3h under refluxing using cyclohexane as azeotropic solvent.更多还原
