【摘要】 林则徐在奉命赴粤查办海口事件、在办理夷务过程中及事后都十分重视探访“夷情”,掌握“夷情”,认识“夷情”,根据“夷情”采取驭夷、治夷、筹夷对策和措施。林则徐在这方面做得非常认真,很有成效,具有深远影响。由于掌握、认识了夷情,所以能成功缴烟、销烟,九龙抗英获胜,成为开眼看世界的先驱。在林则徐的奏折、书函中,虽然没有“师夷长技以制夷”的概括提法,但筹船炮水军以制夷的主张与魏源提出的“师夷长技以制夷”是一脉相承、思路共通的。这一思想成为近代思想界由封闭到开放转型的重要里程碑,是改变传统华夷观念、道艺观念的先声。更多还原
