【Abstract】 This paper proposes a novel shape descriptor called the Minimum Summation Statistical Direction Code(MSSDC) based on the Freeman code,which has the advantages of being invariant to the position and rotation of the image content,and is proportional to the image scaling.A new matching method called the Direction Entropy(DE) is presented to measure the similarity of the shape encoded with MSSDC.Experimental results demonstrate the efficiency and feasibility of this shape-based image retrieval approach.更多还原
