【Abstract】 Language is the carrier of culture while idioms are the essence of language and the fossils of the cultural accumulation during the long history. Therefore, idioms have profound cultural value. This paper discusses the cultural value of idioms from six aspects, that is, idioms are reflections of historical process, religious beliefs, literature works, living customs, geographic environment, and body language.
