从《哈克贝利·费恩历险记》不同译本看重译之必要性
The Necessity of the Diverse Chinese Retranslations of the Adventures of Huckleberry Finn
【摘要】 《哈克贝利.费恩历险记》奠定了马克.吐温在美国文学史上的“林肯”地位,也成为现代美国文学的起源。为了翻译已经成为不朽的世界文学典型并浸透着美国社会与文化影响的《哈克贝利.费恩历险记》,一代又一代的中国译者对该小说进行重译。阐释学的演进、时代对不同版本的呼唤、译者翻译风格的竞争、不同层次读者的期待以及出版社利益的驱动等等因素都一致说明重译有其必要性与合理性。
【Abstract】 The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn is viewed as the origin of American literature,which also helps Mark Twain to have established his fame as second Lincoln in the history of American literature.In order to introduce the everlasting literature figure Huck,the typical boy bearing American social and cultural characteristics to Chinese people,Chinese translators successively retranslate this classic works.The developing of the core theory employed,the appeal to the retranslation catering to the new era,the fierce competition of translating style between the translators,the expectancy of readers at different levels,the economic drive of the publishing houses,all these factors combined unanimously attributive to prove the necessity and rationalization of retranslation.
