The 4×105t?y?1 methanol synthesis converter is composed of two parallel adiabatic and tube-shell reactors. An one-dimensional pseudo-homogenous model of converter was developed with hydrogenations of CO and CO2 as the independent reactions as well as CO and CO2 as the key components, and the model was solved by Rung-Kutta method to obtain the axial profiles of temperature and gaseous concentration in the bed.
