【Abstract】 Giardia lamblia is one of the most important parasitic protozoan threatening human health globally. Since its hosts include almost all vertebrate species, and the genotype and phenotype variate greatly, problems of the host specificity and zoonotic transmission have not been solved thoroughly. Recently, the prevalence of giardiasis has elicited great concern on its genetic diversity. The application of molecular markers and methods of molecular identifications based on PCR has acquired further information on the genetic structure of G. lamblia. This review will deal with the advance in the genetic diversity of this organism.更多还原
