【摘要】 翻译实质是不同文化间的交流。翻译中对文化因素的处理一般分为主要以源语文化为归宿的“异化”和主要以目的语文化为归宿的“归化”。本文通过对中国古典名著《红楼梦》两个英译本的比较,分析评述了两位译者在传递不同背景的文化信息方面所采取的归化或异化的翻译策略和方法,以及由此对读者所产生的效果和在目的语文化中所起的作用的不同。本文的研究认为异化策略在保存源语文化特色和传播源语文化遗产方面显得更为有效。更多还原

【Abstract】 Approaches to cultures involved in translation may be divided into two methods:SL culture oriented and TL culture oriented,that is,foreignization and domestication.Through a comparative study of cultural information translation in the classical Chinese novel,A Dream of Red Mansions,this article analyses the use of these two translation methods and the different effects they make in the TL culture and to the TL readers.Finally the author concludes that the strategy of foreignization works better for effectively preserving and dissimilating the source language cultural peculiarity and heritage to the target reader.更多还原
