【Abstract】 Luyuezaofeng, a chestnut chance seedling discovered in a mountainous area in 1990s, is a high quality chestnut cultivar. It matures early. The trees are productive, adaptable to growing conditions, tolerant to unfertile soil. The burs are large, weighing 51.1 g on average, and the nut rate is of 55.0%. The nut is nearly round and has an average weight of 11.0 g. Flesh is yellow, fine, containing a starch of 67.8%, total sugar of 21.0%, protein of 9.5% and fat of 2.1%. It matures at the end of August in Tai’an area, Shandong Province. It was planted in many chestnut producing areas in recent years in China.更多还原
