【摘要】 文章在新经济地理学的框架下重新审视了外商直接投资的区位决策行为。中国省际面板数据表明,劳动力成本、优惠政策等传统FDI区位变量未能较好地解释在华外商直接投资的区位分布,新经济地理学所揭示的贸易成本、技术外溢、市场规模以及历史FDI等传导机制在我们的实证结果中具有统计显著性。这对中国特别是中西部地区的政府有着深刻的政策启示。更多还原

【Abstract】 By use of the new economic geography, we have in this article reexamined foreign direct investors’ decision- making in terms of region. China’s inter-provincial panel data indicate that the traditional FDI regional variables, such as labor costs and favorable policies, cannot better explain the regional distribution of FDI in China; and that, however, the FDI transmission mechanism- such as trade costs, technology outflow, market scale and history of FDI-which has been revealed by the news economic geography, has a noticeable statistical position as shown in the result of our case study. The above-mentioned conclusion has a profound enlightenment in policy making to the Chinese government, especially to the governments of central and western China.更多还原
