基于信息度量的交通标志视认性研究
Study on Drivers’ Comprehension of Traffic Signs Based on Information Measurement
【摘要】 将信息理论运用于解释交通标志信息的传递过程,建立了交通标志的信息传输模型。运用信息熵方法将驾驶员接受的标志信息进行量化,并以长春市区实际调查数据为依据,运用该方法评价现有交通标志的信息传递质量。结果表明,利用信息度量方法对交通标志视认性进行评价可以有效衡量标志的设计质量,有助于标志设计者从驾驶员认知角度出发,提高交通标志的工效性。也为筛选标志设计方案提供了有效手段。
【Abstract】 A new traffic sign information processing model was proposed based on the information theory.And the signs’ information which drivers accepted was quantified using information entropy.Also a case of the evaluation of traffic sign was presented according to survey data of Changchun drivers’ comprehension,which indicated the effectiveness of this method to evaluate the quality of the traffic sign design.The fundamental work provided some knowledge for further improvement of the signs based on drivers’ recognition,and it is helpful to promote the ergonomics in the design of traffic signs.Furthermore it offered a good means to select the signs.
