【Abstract】 The Daxing marble mine in Sichuan Province is located in the tecto ni c schist of Moxi ductile shear zone on the west edge of Yangtze ancient plate. T he ore body occurs in the top member of Lower Permian, with reserves of a medium deposit. Study on the physical and chemical properties of the ore indicates tha t the quality of the ore satisfies the international and industrial standards. T he multipurpose utilization of the marble involves decorating plate, calcium car bonate packing, sculpture handicraft, profiled stone material etc. In a word, th e quality of Daxing marble ore is excellent.
