LD实现波长变换的消光比特性分析
Analysis of Extinction Rate Characteristics in LD Wavelength Conversion
【摘要】 提出了新的基于LD实现波长转换的理论模型,将互耦合系数引入到LD的速率方程中,并根据大信号反转粒子数密度与增益系数间的关系,求出了决定波长变换效果的互耦合系数,数值模拟结果表明其值小于1;利用该理论模型研究了转换后信号的消光比特性,结果表明,大的信号光功率、小的波长间隔及小的注入电流情况下有利于获得大的消光比。实验研究了不同信号光功率对波长转换消光比的影响,结果进一步表明理论分析的正确性。
【Abstract】 A new theoretical model for wavelength conversion based on XGM of fiber Bragg grating(FBG) external cavity lasers is presented and confirmed by numerical simulation.The mutual coupling parameter between the two wavelengths is introduced into the rate equations.The expression of the mutual coupling parameter is obtained and confirmed by numerical simulation based on the relationship between large-signal reversal particle density and gain coefficient.The result demonstrates that the value of mutual coupling parameter is less than 1.With the new theoretical model,the extinction ratio of wavelength conversion with different IM light power、different wavelength space and different bias current is analyzed and examined by experiments.The results show that higher signal power,lower injection current and wavelength space between signal and probe light wavelengths have the advantages to achieve the higher extinction ratio.
