107cm全色AC-PDP驱动波形的设计和比较
Design and Comparison of Driving Waveform of 107 cm Color PDP
【摘要】 介绍两组提高AC-PDP的发光效率、对比度和亮度的驱动波形。首先给出了传统的驱动波形,然后讨论了两组新的驱动波形。在PDP的每个子场中,驱动过程可分为三个时期:初始期、寻址期和维持期。在初始期,新的初始波形能提高对比度和分辨率,也能降低寻址电压。在维持期,新波形的脉冲可以减少自擦除放电,从而提高发光效率。文中简要介绍了PDP的工作原理并对不同驱动波形的比较作了相应的讨论。最后给出了采用该驱动波形的107 cm PDP测得的实验结果,证实了这两种新波形的可行性。
【Abstract】 Two kinds of new driving waveforms are presented to improve the efficacy,contrast,and resolution of AC-PDP.At first,two kinds of conventional driving waveforms are given.Then,the new waveform is discussed.During each subframe in PDP,there are three periods: the initiate period,the address period,and sustain period.The new waveform can improve the contrast and resolution,can decrease the addressing voltage,and also can decrease the self-erasing discharge in initiate period.The principle of PDP operation and the comparison of different waveform are given in the paper.At last,the experiment result by using the new waveform is given.
