Linguistic determinism,the Sapir-Whorf Hypothesis
【Abstract】 While the Sapir-Whorf Hypothesis is well acknowledged to be a great contribution to the study of the relationship between language and thought which is culture-dependent, it has given rise to a great deal of controversy and met with many criticisms. This essay is meant to make a comprehensive analysis of the Sapir-whorf Hypothesis.
