【Abstract】 In the present paper, a new species of Tetrix is described from Jilin Province, namely Tetrix sipingensis sp.nov. The type specimen is deposited in School of Life Sciences, Northeast Normal University, China.This species is allied to Tetrix ruyuanensis Liang, but differs from it in: 1) median segment of antennae 6 times of width, 2)middle part of pronotum has a hillock like protuberance, 3) wings slightly exceeding the tail end of posterior process, 4) humeral angles of pronotum with a transverse bleach maculate on it.♂. Measurement (mm). Length of body 6.88; length of protoum 7.84; length of hind femur 5.66. Holotype ♂, Zhuanshan Lake(Siping), Jilin Province, China, 23 Aug. 2000, collected by HAO Xi-Lian and ZHAO Zhuo. Etymology.
