【Abstract】 In the present paper, a new species of Tetrix Latreille (Orthoptera, Tetrigoidea), T. Tenuicornoides sp. nov., is described from Jilin Province, China. The type specimens are deposited in School of Life Sciences, Northeast Normal University, Changchun, China.Tetrix tenuicornoides sp.nov. (Figs.1-3)This species is allied to Tetrix tenuicornis (Sahlberg), but differs from the latter in: 1)width of vertex 1.54 times the width of one compound eye; 2)antennae with 14 or 15 segments, length of median segment 5.11 times the width; 3)wings obviously not reaching the apex of hind femora; 4)length of upper valvula of ovipositor in female 2.46 times of its width.Measurements (mm). Length of body:♂7.56-9.62mm, ♀9.82-14.20mm; length of protoum:♂6.92-7.96mm, ♀8.18-9.44mm; length of hind femur:♂5.36-6.28mm,♀6.00-6.62mm.
