【Abstract】 Nowadays the evolution of Internet has dramatically boosted the progress of Geographic Information System based on networking technology. Many organizations and companies have developed various application solutions that are expected to satisfy users’ needs. This paper analyzes present WEB GIS technologies applied to both server side and client side. While illustrating their advantages and disadvantages, a GIS application model based on SUN’s JAVA Web Start(JWS) technology was put forward. For the purpose of demonstrating the effect of this model, a GIS system was developed and built by using GIS data which conform to the County Level Standard Format of Land Use Database. This study presents the whole framework of the system and focuses on the aspects related to JWS. Finally, it concludes that this solution can solve the problem of deployments and system upgrades in the actual environment.更多还原
