OPN和VEGF在脑胶质瘤中的表达及其与预后的关系
Expressions of osteopontin and vascular endothelial growth factor in brain glioma and their association with the prognosis
【摘要】 目的探讨骨桥蛋白(OPN)和血管内皮生长因子(VEGF)在脑胶质瘤中的表达及其与各临床病理特征的关系,评价OPN和VEGF对判断患者预后的价值。方法免疫组化检测60例脑胶质瘤和15例正常脑组织中OPN和VEGF的表达,并对OPN和VEGF的表达与脑胶质瘤临床病理特征及患者生存时间进行统计学分析。结果OPN、VEGF在脑胶质瘤中表达阳性率分别为70.0%、75.0%,在正常脑组织中表达阳性率分别为20.0%、26.7%,肿瘤中OPN和VEGF表达显著高于正常组织。OPN表达在不同肿瘤直径、瘤周脑水肿(PTBE)和病理分级中的差异有统计学意义。VEGF表达在不同PTBE和病理分级中的差异有统计学意义。对OPN和VEGF表达阳性和阴性患者生存率分析的差异也有统计学意义,并提示OPN和VEGF为负性预后因子。OPN与VEGF之间关系呈正相关。结论OPN和VEGF在脑胶质瘤中高表达,两者均反映了脑胶质瘤的生物学特性,并与患者预后有关,OPN和VEGF阳性表达提示预后不良。
【Abstract】 Objective To explore the relationship between the expressions of osteopontin (OPN) and vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) and the clinicopathologic characteristics in brain glioma and evaluate their significance in predicating the prognosis. Methods Immunohistochemistry was used to detect the expressions of OPN and VEGF in 60 cases of brain gliomas and 15 cases of normal brain tissues; the relationships between the expressions of OPN and VEGF in brain glioma and the clinicopathologic characteristics, survival time were analyzed statistically. Results The positive expression rates of OPN and VEGF were 70.0% and 75.0% respectively in the 60 brain gliomas, and 20.0% and 26.7% respectively in 15 normal brain tissues. OPN expression was different statistically in different tumor diameters, peritumoral brain edema (PTBE) and pathological grades, so was VEGF expression in different PTBE and pathological grades. There were significant differences of survival time between positive and negative expression groups of OPN and VEGF. It meant that OPN and VEGF would be the negative prognostic factors. OPN expression was positively associated with the expression of VEGF. Conclusion Over-expressions of OPN and VEGF may reflect the biological characteristics and the prognosis of patients with brain glioma, that is, the positive expressions of OPN and VEGF predicate the poor prognosis.
