【Abstract】 It presents an approach to simplifying building polygon-one aspect of the simplification of inhabited map area,which is supported by a arithmetic based on two thresholds-the length and the angle, to detect the shape of buildings.An example based on this method is carried out in the environment of Visual Basic 6.0.Results of the test prove that the method is evident of preserving the shape characters of urban blocks.更多还原
