TFRC协议在多跳Ad hoc网络中的性能分析及改进

【摘要】 为了解TFRC(TCP-Friend ly Rate Control)协议在多跳Ad hoc网络中的性能,以便更好地在网络中部署TFRC协议,从协议设计角度对TFRC协议进行分析,得出了TFRC协议并不适合多跳Ad hoc网络环境的结论,这将限制TFRC协议在实际网络中的应用。针对TFRC协议在Ad hoc网络中存在的问题,提出TFRC-VLPN(TCP-Friend ly Rate Control-V irtual Loss PacketNotification)协议。与TFRC协议不同,TFRC-VLPN采用平均帧服务时延判断拥塞,并通过虚丢包指示(VLPN:V irtual Loss Packet Notification)报告拥塞。这两种技术很好地克服了TFRC的设计缺陷,很大程度上屏蔽了非拥塞丢包对连接吞吐率的影响,改善了TFRC在多跳Ad hoc网络中的性能。仿真结果表明,该协议的性能优于TFRC。

【Abstract】 Currently,the hotspot of research focuses on the TFRC(TCP-friendly Rate Control),which probably becomes the transport protocol for streaming media application,instead of UDP(User Datagram Protocol) protocol in Internet.In order to understand the performance of TFRC in multihop Ad hoc network and deploy it better in the network,this paper analyses TFRC from the angle of protocol design and give the result that TFRC is not suitable for the multihop Ad hoc network,which limits its application in actual network.According to the problem of TFRC in Ad hoc network,we propose an enhancement for TFRC called the TFRC-VLPN(TCP-friendly Rate Control-Virtual Loss Packet Notification).Unlike TFRC,TFRC-VLPN estimates the congestion by the average frame service delay and notifies the congestion by VLPN.The two techniques preferably overcome the defects of TFRC,shield the effect of noncongestion dropping on the performance to a great extended,and improve the performance of TFRC in the multihop Ad hoc network.The simulations show that the performance of TFRC-VLPN is better than TFRC.
