【Abstract】 The paper for the first time presents comprehensive and in-depth study and commentary on Kunming Lake Naval Training School,the only Manchu school of this kind in the Qing dynasty,expanding and deepening the past research on navy school in Chinese history.With plenty of authentic materials,it discusses and comments many problems relevant to the School in the context of the late Qing dynasty,including the purpose,process and significance of its establishment,its relationship with reconstruction of Summer Palace,the experiences of some people concerned,its position and influence in Chinese modern history.All of these reflect one aspect of late Qing dynasty.更多还原
