【Abstract】 In his Essays on Drama and its sequels, Yang Enshou, a famous dramatic theorist in the late Oing Dynasty, expounded systematically the nature social,functions and creative mechanism. He also emphasized the importance of character creation and plot-knitting, and paid much attention to beautiful language in play writing.in addition, he recorded some dramatic performance in Diaries of Tanyuan which serves as precious materials for the research on the local drama and has initiative significance in the field.更多还原
