【Abstract】 The Stone Forest of Yunnan is a famous tourist si te, which has not only unique karst landscapes but also rich resources of ethnic cultures. The sustainable development here relies on the understanding and deve lopment of these resources and the participation of the local people and communi ties who are the main carriers of ethnic cultures.
