【Abstract】 The hermit, as a part of bachelor stratum, refers to person detaching from himself from the masses and society. Due to different combination modes to classify hermits, they have various types. Hermits appeared with the boom of old-style private schools in the late Spring and Autumn Period, and were attributed to the result in agricultural society, thus possessed specific social basis.
