【摘要】 本文论述了语言中的一个普遍现象“一词多涵” ,即一个词可能获得两个或两个以上的内涵项。从情感意义考虑 ,内涵意义可分为三类 :正面内涵、负面内涵和中性内涵 ,一个词可能同时获得这三类或其中的任何一类或两类内涵。与此同时 ,一个词在内涵意义上的褒贬和在情感意义上的褒贬不一定同步。另外 ,特定的文化往往会使得一个多涵词的某一个内涵项或某一类内涵 (比如正面内涵 )成为该文化中的主要内涵 ,其他为次要内涵。所有这些都构成“一词多涵”的特点。本文提出“一词多涵”的概念 ,目的是要提供一个整体框架 ,使内涵意义得到比较全面而客观的描述 ,从而弥补目前内涵研究过于零碎的缺陷更多还原

【Abstract】 This article discusses the notion of poly-connotation,i.e.the ability of one word to have several connotations. As far as emotive factors are concerned, connotations can be classified into three types:positive connotations, negative connotation,and neutral connotations. A word may acquire all the three types of connotation,or any one or two of the three, but no necessary consistency is held between its emotive meaning and that of its connotation. And on the other hand, the given culture may cause one connotation(or all the connotations of the same type, e.g. the positive) of a word to become the major one(s),others the minor one(s).Poly-connotation,characterized by all those features, ise intended here to provide a general framework under which the connotations of a word can be better understood and dealt with than in the current situation that is suffering from a lack of generalization.更多还原
