Yb3+,Er3+离子共掺磷酸盐铒玻璃的Judd-Ofelt光谱参数与光谱性质
Judd Ofelt parameter analysis and spectroscopic properties of Er3+-doped phosphate glasses
【摘要】 研究了含Er3 + 离子浓度较高 (1 5 5× 10 2 0 cm- 3 )的磷酸盐玻璃中Yb3 + 敏化离子浓度和Al2 O3 含量对Er3 + 离子光谱性质的影响 .根据掺Er3 + 磷酸盐玻璃的吸收光谱 ,利用Judd Ofelt理论计算了强度参数Ωt(t=2 ,4 ,6 ) 、Er3 + 离子的4 I13 2 →4 I15 2 能级跃迁振子强度、自发辐射几率等光谱参数 .用McCumber理论计算了Er3 + 离子的受激发射截面 ,结果表明Yb3 + 离子浓度不影响Er3 + 离子的受激发射截面 ,但会影响Er3 + 离子荧光强度 ,Yb3 + 含量越高 ,Er3 + 的荧光越强 .对掺Er3 + 磷酸盐玻璃的荧光上转换光谱测试表明 ,Yb3 + 含量越高 ,上转换荧光越强 ,玻璃上转换主要表现为双光子吸收机理
【Abstract】 The spectroscopic properties and fluorescent up conversion of Er 3+ ions doped phosphate glasses have been studied in this work. The effect of Al 2O 3 contents and Yb 3+ co doping concentration on the spectroscopic properties and up conversion was explored. According to Judd Ofelt(J\|O) theory, J O parameters Ω t(t=2,4,6 )of erbium phosphate glasses have been calculated from the measured absorption spectra. The glasses with lower Al 2O 3 contents have larger Ω 4 and slightly larger Ω 2 . The Yb 3+ ion concentration does not affect J O parameters. The oscillator strength, spontaneous emission probability, quantum efficiency, up conversion coefficient of Er 3+ have been calculated from the measured fluorescent lifetime and the calculated J O parameters. The stimulated emission cross section of Er 3+ ions was calculated by using McCumber theory. It is found that the stimulated emission cross section of Er 3+ ion is larger in the glass with lower Al 2O 3 concentration. The Yb 3+ ion concentration strongly affects the up conversion intensity of the glasses studied. It increases with Yb 3+ ion concentration. It is deduced from experiment results that the double\|photon absorption involves the up conversion process. The calculated up conversion coefficient is small in Er 3+ phosphate glasses. It is mainly determined by Er 3+ ion concentration. After water removing treatment, the quantum efficiency can be larger than 90% in the erbium phosphate glasses.
