【Abstract】 Virginia Woolf is one of the founders in the novels of the stream of consciousness. Her creation changes from traditional novel to the novel of the stream of consciousness. This paper illustrates the changing process, that is, from the logic of the psychological description in her early works to the leap of the skill of the stream of consciousness in her later works. Her early works make readers understand the characters’ psychology indirectly while her later works make readers understand directly.
