【Abstract】 Molding shell should meet the higher requirements in the investment casting used for large and precision casting. The use of alcoholic ethyl silicate would be restricted and the silica sol would be more and more extensive because of the more strict environmental protection requirement. The proper selection of refractory materials and binders, the proper control of ratio of powder and liquid and viscosity of coating will raise the performance of molding shell greatly.
