【Abstract】 College English writing is the continuation of English writing of the middle school, but so far as we know, it is still rather difficult to improve the quality of students’ writing. This article conducts a deep-going research into the theory on error analysis in order to apply this theory to examining errors and mistakes gathered from the students’ articles. And the errors are counted and classified so as to make it possible to observe the distribution and proportion of different kinds of errors. Furthermore, the writer analyses the reasons that cause these errors in terms of three aspects, viz., transfer, over-generalization and simplification. This research will be conducive to the appropriate adoption of teaching strategies and decision on teaching focal points.更多还原
