【Abstract】 Resilient Packet Ring being programmed by the group of IEEE 802.17 is one of the next generation optical fiber ring MANs who processes fine performance. In this paper, after introducing issues of basic MAC protocol using in the network and fairness principle, the authors discuss one Spatial Reuse MAC Protocol fairness algorithm which can be used in RPR, and analysis the algorithm’s performance of different scenarios and of different parameters under the same scenario through simulation. Through all of these, the authors point out the main issues that should be considered when improving this MAC protocol fairness algorithm.更多还原
