一种改进的LBG快速算法
A Fast Improved LBG Algorithm
【摘要】 LBG算法是矢量量化码书设计的经典算法 .针对其空胞腔问题提出一种改进的LBG算法 ,并以熵序列收敛作为新的算法停止判据 .实验表明 ,该算法具有收敛速度快、码书性能佳等优点 ,该算法的PSNR比传统的LBG算法提高 2 74dB .
【Abstract】 LBG algorithm is a classical algorithm for vector quantization. In this paper, a fast improved LBG algorithm is proposed for solving the empty voronoi problems commonly encountered in the LBG algorithm. The criteria for the termination of the algorithm is based on the convergence of entropy sequence. Simulation results show the algorithm has fast convergence rate and excellent performance for codebook design. The improvement of PSNR for the proposed algorithm exceed 2 74 dB compared with that of the LBG algorithm.
