从外语教学的目的看语言交际能力的培养
The Purpose of Foreign Language Teaching and the Development of the Students’ Communicative Competence
【摘要】 关于大学英语四、六级考试的作用问题,外语教学界已经争论了15年,这一现象是我国大学英语教学所面临的又一问题。文章力求走出这场论争,从外语教学目的的角度出发,探讨学生语言交际能力的培养问题,以期推动外语教学的健康发展。
【Abstract】 TheissueconcerningtheroleofCET-4andCET-6inforeignlanguageteachinginChinahasbeenanon-goingdebatefor15years.This,astheauthorofthispaperunderstandsit,hasbecomeanotherproblemthatcon-frontscollegeEnglishteachers.Tomakethecontroversycomebacktothepoint,thispaperdiscussesthenecessityofdevelopingstudents’communicativecompetenceinlearningEnglishfromtheperspectiveofthepurposeoffor-eignlanguageteaching.
