【Abstract】 The compound of 2-acrylamideoctodecyl sulfonic acid was synthesized by acrylonitrile , 1-octodecene and fuming sulfuric acid with dichuro sulfoxide as dehydrator, and the structure of the product was determined by IR and NMR .The results showed that in the produced 2-acrulamidooctadecyl sulfonic acid molecule there contain double bonds,long hydrophobic alkyl chain, hydrophilic amido and sulfonic groups.
