Transcultural Communication and English Language Teaching

【Abstract】 This paper empathizes the crucial importance of culture in ELT and analyzes the crosscultural communication block caused by differences between Western culture and Chinese culture on four aspects, which are different perception of the world, different perception of the self, different intercultural communication applications and different ideas of social relations.
