【Abstract】 This paper expounded the connotation of the wetlandfunctions, service and value, and the links among them. Based onthe analysis of the wetland assessment development history and trends,the paper revealed that the recent wetland assessment was focused onthe value of the wetland service. By taking the wetland in theYangtze River estuary as an example, the authors presented somemajor methods used in the assessment. Accordingly certain defects ofthe present methods and some approaches to the future developmentin this field were advanced as well.更多还原
