【Abstract】 Gertrude Stein’s works can be regarded as an exotic flower in the garden of Western literature. In her literary creation, she applies the principles of modern psychology and utilizes some techniques of modern painting to express man’s instant consciousness so as to achieve the purpose of depicting the characters.
