【Abstract】 Adult stem cells are primary cells exist in tissues of organism which can selfrenew and differentiate specifically, and can keep metabolism and repair damage. However, a series of experiments has shown recently that stem cells from certain adult tissues can generate additional cell types, that is adult stem cell has multipotential. This new character of adult stem cell has brought new idea to the treatment of many diseases and thus become the highlight in the field of biomedicine. In this review, we introduced the new concept about adult stem cell, discussed how adult stem cell multipotential may be regulated and related research methods, briefly summarized the important significance of adult stem cell in theory and clinical application.更多还原
