【Abstract】 Based on the comprehensive analysis on available studies of impouding scheme of the TGP, this paper compares the benefits and losses between postponed impouding water and ahead impouding scheme respectively. Their impacts on the flood control, electric generation and navigation are also estimated.Finally, the advantages and disadvantages of each operating scheme are concluded.
