【Abstract】 Obesity has become a severe health problem as well as a social one. Many researches have been done on the structure, mutations, expression and functions of ob gene since it was cloned in mice in 1994. In this article, we reviwed the research results about the discovery, locations, structures, mutations of ob genes in animals and human, and biological functions of ob gene. Finally we pointed out some fields in which further researches should be done about the gene.更多还原
