助熔剂提拉法生长化学计量比LiNbO3晶体
Flux Pulling Method of Growing Stoichiometric LiNbO3 Crystal
【摘要】 利用助熔剂提拉法 ,分别从掺入 11mol%K2 O的同成份LiNbO3 熔体中和从掺入 19mol%K2 O的化学配比LiNbO3 熔体中生长出高质量近化学计量比LiNbO3 单晶。对这两种从不同配比熔体中生长的晶体进行光谱分析表明 ,与同成份比LiNbO3 相比较 ,其紫外吸收边出现明显蓝移 ,OH红外吸收峰的位置和线宽也都有显著的变化。室温极化反转测试显示 ,两种晶体的矫顽场分别为 4.4kV/mm和 0 .8kV/mm。根据所得测量结果 ,估计两种晶体中Li2 O的含量分别为 49.6mol%和 49.9mol%。其中从掺 19mol%K2 O化学配比LiNbO3 熔体中生长出的LiNbO3 单晶的Li2 O含量已非常接近 5 0mol%的化学配比。进一步优化生长工艺 ,获得成份均匀、大尺寸化学计量比晶体的工作正在进行中。
【Abstract】 Two kinds of near-stoichiometric LiNbO 3 crystals(SLN11 and SLN19) were grown with flux pulling method from a congruent melt with an addition of 11mol% K 2O and a stoichiometric melt with an addition of 19mol% K 2O,respectively.The analysis of the spectroscopic properties of these two kinds of crystals indicates that compared with the congruent LiNbO 3,the ultraviolet absorption edges shift towards shorter wavelength,and the locations and bandwidths of the OH infrared absorption apex change and become narrower.The coercive fields of these two crystals around 4.4kV/mm and 0.8kV/mm were measured by the poling method in room temperature.From these experimental results the contents of Li 2O are estimated to be about 49.6mol% for SLN11 and 49.9mol% for SLN19,respectively.The content of Li 2O in the sample of SLN19 is very close to the idea value of 50%.Therefore,flux pulling can be regarded as a suitable method to grow the stoichiometric LiNbO 3.Further work of growing single crystal with perfect stoichiometric and large size is under way.
