【Abstract】 Prof. Liu had a rich experience on the treatment of cancerous pain. He classified the cancerous pain into excess - pain, deficiency - pain and heat - pain and condidered that the pathogenesis is stagnation of qi and blood and insufficiency of yang qi. The treatment should be based on following syndrome differentiation, i. e., stagnation of qi and blood, intermingling of phlegm and damp, accumulation of phlegm and heat in the inte rior and deficiency of spleen - yang and kidney -yang.
