【Abstract】 Random field discretization was used to analyze stochastic structures with spatially random properties. Four criteria were considered in the choice of the random field discretization method. A systematic method based on linear regression theory was chosen which minimized the error of the discretized field relative to its real field for non-Gaussian fields. The random field discretization process can be done independently from the finite element discretization process. Examples show that this method is more efficient and flexible than other discretization methods for finite element reliability analyses.更多还原
