【Abstract】 With an introduction to the background of IMO Standard Marine Communication Phrases (SMCP), this paper analyses the language characteristics of the book and its translation. This paper points out that the language of the book is featured in the use of technical words and simple words, the use of the interrogative pronoun "what" in questions, the use of accurate words, the frequent use of possessive pronouns "my" and "your", and finally the simplicity in sentence structure.更多还原
