【Abstract】 Based on the characteristics of surface movements and deformations, this paper advanced, by wide working, face layout in partial mining. This method made full use of the advantages of both mehods of the partial mining and the whole pillar mining. And ist is organic unite of both methods. That is better for the control of surface deformations and the protection of the surface buildings. This provided a new technical way for safely mining under the village.
