【摘要】 本文通过对美国 4所较为典型的旅游研究比较成熟的大学 ,即普渡大学、内华达大学拉斯韦加斯分校、德州大学和伊利诺斯大学的旅游相关院系的研究方向、课程设置等问题的比较、研究 ,发现美国大学中旅游及相关研究主要呈现两种方向 :服务管理方向和开发管理方向。前者的研究对象主要为酒店业、旅行业和餐饮业 ,研究中侧重服务管理 ;后者主要对象为旅游地资源和吸引物 ,研究中更侧重开发与保护取向。通过这一分析 ,为发展中的我国高等院校旅游教育事业提供了参考。更多还原

【Abstract】 According to analysis of faculty’s research focuses and curriculum development for students at four American universities,i.e. Department of Hospitality and Tourism Management at Purdue University,William F.Harrah College of Hotel Administration at University of Nevada Las Vegas,Department of Recreation,Park and Tourism Science at Texas A&M, and Department of Leisure Studies at University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign,the authors did their efforts to find the main streams of career education for tourism and related disciplines in the states.Two general directions are “discovered” by the authors,namely tourism business administration for hotel,travel and restaurant industries,and resource/attraction development and management for different level regions/countries.To business administration,emphasises are focused on service management and to resource development focused on controlling of destinations.These findings are valuable to the improvement of China’s own higher tourism education systems at more than two hundred institutions.更多还原
