【摘要】 本文在回顾美国科学情报研究所 (ISI)对收入科学引文索引 (SCI)的期刊评价体系的基础上 ,分析了中国大陆被SCI收录期刊的现状和北京大学理科发表论文的情况。统计计算表明 ,北京大学 1998年和 2 0 0 0年SCI期刊论文的平均影响因子分别为 1.2 1和 1.35。在一些基础学科 ,如化学、物理类 ,北京大学发表论文的SCI期刊的影响因子与国际平均值接近 ,而其它学科尚有较大差距。北京大学将鼓励科研人员在注重论文质量的前提下 ,在重要科技期刊上发表研究论文更多还原

【Abstract】 This article reviews the evaluation system of Institute of Scientific Information (ISI) on the journals cited by Science Citation Index (SCI) database and analyzes the situation of the journals published in the mainland China by SCI, as well as the publication of Peking University. The statistics shows that the average impact factors of the SCI cited journal papers of Peking University in the year 1998 and 2000 are 1.21 and 1.35 respectively. In some areas of basic science, such as chemistry and physics, the impact factors of SCI journals, in which scientists of Peking University published papers, are equivalent to the world average, however, there is a large discrepancy in the other areas. The policy of Peking University is to encourage its scientists to publish high quality papers in the leading scientific journals.更多还原
