【Abstract】 Compared with traditional oil filled transformer the dry type transformer has many advantages such as no oil, without pollution, small noise, convenient installation and without debugging and maintenance. Through the analysis on the electro transformation and distribution design in Taiyuan Hougou water source region the technical characteristics and energy saving effect of dry type transformer are elaborated, what bring applicative examples for popularization of dry type transformer.
