【Abstract】 Coconut fatty acid ethanolamide(CMA) was prepared by the reaction of monoethanolamide with coconut oil, coconut fatty acid or coconut fatty acid methyl ester. CMA can be widely used as component of detergent and body or hair shampoos, and also can be further used to synthesize other surfactants.
